DR. STEVE SEBASTYAN, SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Dr. Sebastyan brings over 50 years of Canadian airport knowledge to LPS AVIA, providing senior oversight, advice and quality assurance on airport projects. As a former Director General of Airports and Construction Services and Assistant Administrator, Air of Transport Canada, Dr. Sebastyan is known internationally for overseeing the planning, design, construction and operation of Canada's over 600 airports. He oversaw development of Transport Canada's airport standards and recommended practices, which stand today as one of the most comprehensive guides to all aspects of airport development and operation. His recent AIRPORT HANDBOOK on this topic is used as an important reference by international airport planners and operators. With a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, Dr. Sebastyan is one of the foremost runway design experts in Canada. Prior to joining LPS AVIA, Dr. Sebastyan served as Executive Vice President of a multinational pharmaceutical corporation in the United States, and as Assistant Deputy Minister Architectural and Engineering Services for the Department of Public Works, Canada. He has extensive experience in project management, cost control and dispute arbitration.
