OTTAWA RUNWAY EXTENSION PLAN
Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport has two main runways but the primary “bad weather” runway is not the longest.
LPS AVIA was contracted to review the options for extension of Runway 07/25 with an aim of
maximizing available runway length and minimizing costs and operational disruption. The Feasibility Study included a detailed
climatology review and co-ordination of runway options with the Airport’s Master Plan and with working relationships with the
City of Ottawa and the National Capital Commission.
