MINE AIR SERVICE LOGISTICS AND AIRPORTS DEVELOPMENT
NovaGold Corporation is developing a new mine site in the Stikene River Valley of northwestern British Columbia. Totally reliant on helicopter airlift, LPS AVIA was retained to provide comprehensive assistance in developing a commercial airlift strategy and up to two new aerodromes to support the construction phase of the gold / copper extraction project.
To date LPS AVIA has completed the Commercial Airlift Strategy; Design Aircraft Characteristics; Air Service Characteristics; Airport Operational Requirements; Airports Siting; Geotechnical Requirements; Aviation Climatology and Environment; and Initial Design Concepts.
