CAPT. JERRY SHANNON, ASSOCIATE
Captain Shannon provides advice on organizational development, airline start-up, route and aircraft operational feasibility, flight operations, management assistance, regulatory compliance and safety management systems. As one of Canada’s highest time arctic pilots he brings to LPS AVIA 40 years of experience flying jet, turboprop and reciprocating engine aircraft in conventional and offstrip operations throughout North and South America, Europe and the circumpolar region. He has served as Chief Pilot, Director of Flight Operations and Vice President of Flight Operations for scheduled and charter, passenger and cargo operations, and been responsible for international operations for clients as diversified as Bell Canada, Rio Tinto, DeBeers, Geological Survey of Canada, Environment Canada, the United States National Science Foundation in Antarctica, Panarctic Oils, Phillips, BP, Mobil Oil, Fedex Canada, Emery Worldwide, and TNT Europe. Captain Shannon has pioneered operations at both the North and South Poles in support of scientific and exploration projects.
