CAPT. DON ORR, ASSOCIATE
Captain Orr joined LPS AVIA in 2009 after a 35 year career in commercial aviation, a majority of which involved operations in the Canadian north. As an executive he has been involved in organizational development and change management. Captain Orr has served on a variety of expert industry panels working with and advising Transport Canada and the US Federal Aviation Administration on development of new policies and regulations. He previously served with First Air, Canada’ largest arctic airline, as Vice President of Operations and Maintenance for 11 years, and as Senior Director of Flight Operations for 6 years. Earlier in his career Captain Orr was in charge of heavy jet operations for a multinational resource company. He has extensive experience in flight operations, safety and implementation of safety management systems. He has been both a commercial pilot and licenced maintenance engineer.
